Class A Driver

From Warehouse to Worksite, You're the Link That Keeps Roto-Rooter Moving!

We are growing and have an excellent opportunity for a Class A driver for sewer & water services repairs/replacements at our Bridgeport branch, located in Stratford, CT. The hourly pay range for this position is $24.00-$26.00, depending on experience. 

As a Class A driver for Roto-Rooter Services Company, you may drive vehicles such as heavy-duty plumbing trucks, septic pump trucks, vacuum trucks, or sewer jetting vehicles. 

• Follow OSHA, Department of Transportation (DOT), and Root-Rooter safety procedures
• Interact with customers as needed
• Perform manual labor in an open excavation
• Operate and maintain equipment
• Work in confined spaces and open trenches

Other responsibilities may include but not limited to; set up hoses, pumps, and mechanical systems to clean septic tanks or clear municipal sewer lines; Ensure all heavy tools, waste tanks, and construction materials are safely loaded, balanced, and tied down before transit; Help unload materials, set up job site safety perimeters, or assist technicians with hands-on tasks when needed and even interact professionally with clients on-site, explain service procedures, and confirm delivery or pumping details!

• Current CDL Class A license
• Construction experience a plus in both residential and commercial
• Able to work in confined spaces and open trenches
• Complete jobs within specified time lines
• Able to help out in excavation digs, equipment operator a major plus.
• Trenchless water, sewer & gas experience a plus
• Work a flexible schedule that may include nights and weekends
